Nasturtium Sunset
Nasturtiums are a lovely additions to your retable patch, not only do they attract beneficial insects, they are edible. The seeds can be pickled and will end up tasting a little like capers. The leaves, Stems and Flowers are a striking addition to summer salads, so why not give them a taste. Our favourite part of the Nasturtium is how one seedling can product mounds of living mulch, as the frost hits the plant will die, you could put it in the compost but we’re far too lazy for that just spread the wilted plant out and allow it to break down over your vegetable patch and watch as next year your seed will strike with their beautiful flowers.
